Streak day 73 Woot woot! Only 292 days to hit a year lol, no big deal.  I ran the boilermaker and it was rough, I felt horrible.  I hadn't been training any distance longer than 3 miles and I didn't eat enough, and it was the dreaded day one of my cycle (yeah TMI sorry but for women it is the worst day to work out, you have zero energy). Regardless, I finished in 1:31:30 I think? A minute slower than last year dammit haha!  That was my third Boilermaker yay!  Next up the 18.12 Challenge for the third time.  time to start training for real.

2015

Sooooo yep I haven't written in a really long time, obviously. I went through a slump in the late winter/early spring where I was still working out all the time, but, not running. So in May I started streaking, running at least a mile every day. It's been 66 days now as of the run I just finished, and I haven't counted the days until today because I just didn't want to make a big deal out of it. I haven't ran more than 6 miles at a time, and that was only once. Most days it's 3 miles or less, there have been a lot of 1 miler days. But, at least I'm running, right?

Streak - 66
2015 miles - 250.90

February 2, 2015

Laundry.  I've been thinking a lot about who I am and what explains who I am.  The answer is laundry.  I have more dirty laundry than anyone in our house.  Some days I go through 3 or 4 different outfits. Today, for example, I discard my pjs and change into running clothes.  I go for my run and it's cold, really cold. It's week 3 of marathon training and well I really haven't been doing much running so I've got to start getting up early to make sure I have time to do it.  My eyelashes had ice cubes (balls?) on them. It was pretty rough.  Anyway, I get done and those clothes go in the dirty laundry.  Next in the basket, my dirty towel.  This afternoon I get to change into crossfit clothes and workout at home, followed by another shower and towel.  Then I'll probably toss on jeans and t-shirt and that will be it for the day.  Some days though, I add in zumba and right there I have an entire load of laundry all for me.  I think I need a live in maid.  What's this say about me? I work out, a lot.  I love to work out.  I'm passionate about it.  I'll try any workout once, and I enjoy mixing it up and being challenged.  I'm now starting my third year running and I don't foresee any quitting in the future!  Run fast, run hard, run on!

Frozen #2

Ran the second frozen foot 4 miler on January 11, 2015.  It was so cold and slippery!! My time was 32:57 I think.  I tried to get the crossfit crew to go, but they chickened out because of the weather.  The next frozen foot is about a week away, if I remember correctly.  After finishing the next one we get our t-shirts!

December 29, 2014 1000 Mile Goal

TA-DA!!!!! I completed 1000 miles of running this year! Yay me! I've been streaking and will continue at least for now, so this isn't a final number for 2014 yet, but here is a picture from yesterday when I completed the 1000 miles :)

Random update: remember my horrible gross bruised tonail that got shut in the car door? Well here is a picture of the day it happened and then what it looks like right now, 7 months later and still not normal lol.

December - Frozen Foot - 1000 miles goal

It's finally December and time to see if I fulfilled my goals! I've run a race every month this year and I'm just 22 miles shy of my 1000 mile goal, which I'm totally hitting.

Frozen Foot
A freezing cold 4 mile run in Canton, NY. The cost is only $5 for all 3 races, so that's great for the wallet.  I did well and felt great even though it was a big icy!

Yay for making goals and completing them.  Time to think about next year!

November 2014 - Hobble Gobble & Turkey Trot

So yep, I've been really bad about blogging!   Still running and I have completed my year or racing one race per month.  In November I ran two races, the Hobble Gobble 6 miler and the Turkey Trot 5k.

Hobble Gobble
Well it was a freaking cold day and I was sick.  I had a temperature of 102 and felt like barfing ever second. Buuuut well I just can't stay home and rest!  LOL! So I went and ran and then left directly after eating a bagel.  I had barely eaten anything and I did ok for the first 4.5 miles and then I felt like death and my pace dropped a lot. But, I finished! And, I got a medal and a cool shirt :). I actually ran with Molly Ladouceur and Chelsea Bill for much of the race.  Chelsea ended up falling behind while Molly pulled ahead in the last leg.

Turkey Trot

This race starts right in my town and the cost is simply a donation to the local food bank.  So I brought my donation to the Fire Hall (.3 miles from my house), but I had the times wrong and showed up an hour early. So I went back home and waited a bit before heading back.  It was another cold day, of course... November in NY and all that.  But I ran pretty well and finished about 5th overall of the women. It was definitely fun :)
